April 1930 "A large crowd attended the horse sale at the Ralph Martin farm Saturday afternoon. Not many horses had been sold before the sale was stopped on account of poor prices.
1939 "Friends of Mrs. Ralph Martin will be pleased to know that she is improving nicely from her recent operation which was performed at the Sterling hospoital."

1954 "Mr. and Mrs. Roy Heberlein motored to BUrlington Monday to visit Mrs. Heberlein's father, Ralph Martin, who ahs been confined in the Burlington hosptal for several days."
