Howard R. Jones was born in Mayin (Possibly should be Marion) County, Iowa, March 30, 1861, and passed away June 8, 1933, at the age of 72 years, 2 months, and 8 days. On October 10, 1910, he was united in marriage to Mrs. Carrie A. Camp at Topeka, Kansas. No children were born to this union. In 1912 he came to Colorado, locating 12 miles north and 2 1/2 miles east of Vona, where he had continued his residence until the time of his death.
He is survived by his widow, two brothers, Price and Fred Jones; four sisters; a nephew, Fred Allen; two nieces, Mrs. Bessie Snow and Mrs. Pearl Myers; and three step-children Roy Camp and Harry Camp of Vona and Edward J. Camp of Topeka, Kansas; and many neighbors and friends who mourn his going. Funeral services were conducted from the Vona Baptist Church, Sunday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. J. F. Starr, officiating. A male quartette consisting of John Warrick, C. Burd, Ray Deakin and Leander Becker sang, "Some Time We'll Understand," "The Haven of Rest" and "There is a Home Eternal." Interment was made in the Vona Cemetery.

Final rites for Mrs. Carrie A. Jones were held Wednesday March 2 at the Hendricks
Chapel in Burlington. Brother Jim Marrow officiated at the 2:30 services.
Casket bearers were: Floyd Camp, Jim Camp, Dale Camp, Leroy Camp, Bill Waterman,
and Nolan Camp. Vocal selections "Beyond The Sunset", "Just Beyond the Rolling
River", and "When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder" were sung by Jim and Marilyn Flick.
Burial was in the Vona cemetery.
Carrie A. Jones was born in Henry county, Illinois, January 11, 1869.
She passed away Saturday February 27, 1966 at the Good Shepherd Nursing home in Denver
at the age of 97. She had been a resident of Colorado for 54 years taking up a
homestead north of Vona in 1912.
In 1942 she moved to Stratton and later to Burlington to be near her son Roy Camp
and family. In 1957 she was baptized and worshiped with the Church of Christ in Burlington until she moved to the Good Shepherd in Denver. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband Howard and her son Roy. She is survived by her two sons, Ed of Topeka, and Harry of Denver. Two brothers Dr. Carl Henning of Corning and Ed Henning of Atchison, Kansas. A sister Grace Williamson of Corning and 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren.

Roy Camp, son of James B. Camp and Carrie Henning Camp, was born at Corning, Kan. Sept. 9, 1890, and died Jan. 11, 1961 at the St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 23 days. He moved with his family to Vona as a young man and later homesteaded north of Vona in 1912. He was united in marriage to Susan Miller of Brewster, Kan., Dec. 5, 1917.
They lived their married life north of Vona until 1951, when they moved to Burlington where they have since resided. Their 43 years together were blessed with six children, Harold of Pomona, Calif.; Floyd of Vona; Dale and Velma Hartsook of Colorado Springs; James of Denver and Vera Waterman of Pueblo.
Mrs. Susan Camp passed away at the Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital, May 30, 1971, after an illness of approximately two months, at the age of 74 years 10 months and 12 days. Susan Elizabeth Camp was born in Rawlins County, Kansas on July 18, 1896, the daughter of August and Clara Hartley Miller, who preceded her in death. Her girlhood was spent in the family home north of Brewster, Kansas. Early in 1917 she homesteaded north of Vona and on December 5, 1917, she was united in marriage to Roy Camp, who had homestead in the Vona area in 1912. They lived their married life north of Vona until moving to their home in Burlington in 1951. Roy preceded her in death in 1961 and Susan has lived in the family home in Burlington since that time.
Their 43 years together were blessed with six children: Harold of Haddem, Kansas; Floyd of Vona; Dale and Velma of Colorado Springs; James of Vona and Vera of Denver. Mrs. Camp is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, 8 sisters and brothers: Grace Hickson of Goodland; Rosa Durham of Gem; Bennett Miller of Goodland; George Miller of Colby, Kansas; Nina Linthicum of Colorado Springs; August Miller of Brewster; Esther Westerdale of Oklahoma and Willard Miller of Brewster.
Harry Camp, age 23, married Iva Fetty in Burlington on July 4, 1917. Iva had been in Lawrence Kansas in 1910, 27, married to Edward 31. Raymond is 4, Laverna 1.
Edward H. Fetty 1877-1914 is buried in Jefferson Coumty, Kansas # 110345924.
Iva, per one tree, was born a Bowers.
