In 1900 Gosper County, Nebraska, Angeline Ackley born March 1846 in Ohio, is widowed, seven kids, six living. Lawrence was born Feb 1872 in Iowa, George W. March 1881 in Nebraska. They're living with sisters Celia E. (Ackley) Stephenson and her husband Oscar. Celia 1876-1953 is buried in Portland, Oregon # 71139315.

George W. Ackley, 22, married G. Ellen Clair in Marshall County Kansas on May 5, 1903.
He was the son of Wm. G. Ackley and Angeline Veers. She was the daughter of John Clair and Sarah Pike.


Angeline (Viers) Ackley is buried in Harrisburg, Linn County, Oregon # 44138773.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the local Church of Christ for the late Mrs. Angeline Viers Ackley, 94, who died Wednesday after a lingering illness of ten months.
Mrs. Ackley was born on March 12, 1846 near Akron, Ohio, Summitt County. She married William George Ackley on January 14, 1963 at Indonolia, Iowa. He died September 23, 1886.
To this union were born seven children, five of whom survive their mother, Mrs. Lillie Belle Forster, with whom Mrs. Ackley has lived for the last several years, Mrs. Alvira Bellamy of Vancouver, Wash., who was present at the funeral; Lawrence Ackley of Aurora, Ore., Mrs. Celia Stephenson of Portland, who was present, and George W. Ackley of Wilder, Idaho, also present. Mrs. Ackley has 26 surviving grandchildren and several great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren.


In 1900 Osborne County, Kansas, John Clair is farming, born May 1852 in Iowa, married 25 years to Sarah J. Nov 18454 Illnois, have Georgia E. July 1886 , Roby B. Oct 1888, John N. January 1890, Jsasper N October 1892, and Ethel B. Janaury 1898, all kids born in Kansas.

In 1929 North Platte, George is a laborer, with G. Ellen at 806 E. 8th. So are Josie F. Ackley and Levie W. LACKLEY, A LABORER.
They're in Sheridan County, Nebraska in 1930, George a laborer, 55, Georgia E. 44, Josie M. 20, Levie W. 18, Leueta F. 16, Eva A. 14, Delilah A. 12, and Cleon W. 8 born in Nebraska.

In 1932 they're in ScottsBluff, Nebraska, George a laborer with Ellen at 825 L. Jose is at the same address, Leveta F. a student there, and Levi W. a laborer.

Georgia E. Ackley 1885-1934 is buried in North Platte # 13162297.

In 1940 Wilder, Canyon County, Idaho, George is widowed, 66, and Cleon George 17 is with him, a laborer.

Sybil Almina Baley Smith of Falls City died on Aug. 29. She was 99.
She was born to George and Georgia Clair Ackley in Smithfield, Neb.
She grew up in Nebraska moving to Oregon in 1940.
She worked as an LPN at Langmack Hospital in Sweet Home for many years before moving to Dallas where she worked for Dr. Bartel. She also worked at Salem Deaconess Hospital in 1940 - 1941.
She enjoyed crocheting, raising birds for her pet store in Dallas and fishing at Yachats.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas J. Baley in 1962 and her second husband, Joe Smith in 1986 and her daughter, Bernice Young in 1999.
Survivors include her daughter, Cora Heiney of Falls City; son, Arthur Baley of Mill City and Paul Baley of Otis; daughter, Deloris Line of Winchester Baley; two stepdaughters, Bonnie and Jean, both of Idaho; and 126 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 5 at Bollman Funeral Home in Dallas and interment was at Restlawn Memory Gardens."

Levi registered for WWII at Portland, Oregon.

He's in the Army in 1945 Stockton California, living with Mildred M. aat 230 N. American.

LEVITA
LeVita Fay ACKLEY was born on 13 June 1913 at Stratton, Colorado. She married Henry Walter Garland at Gering Nebraska on September 12, 1934. Henry was born October 27, 1902 in Stanstead, Quebec, and was living in Protland Oregon in 1933.
She died on 27 January 1940 in Ridgefield, Clark, Washington.
She's buried in Portland, Oregon # 158980600 as Leveta Fay Garland.

CLEON

Cleon 1923-1997 is buried in Yolo County, California, # 92257896, with Stella W. 1920-2009.
Cleon George Ackley died of cardiac arrest on Nov. 20, 1997. He was born Feb. 3, 1923, in North Platte, Neb. After moving to Woodland in 1943, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II until 1946. He retired from Woodland Tractor in 1987 after working there for 20 years. He loved camping, fishing and could always be found in his garden. He is survived by his wife, Stella Ackley of Woodland; sister, Sibil Smith of Oregon; 10 children, Eugene Difuntorum of Sacramento, Linda Satterburg and her husband Jeff of West Sacramento, Gale Holbrook and her husband Gene of Arkansas, Dale Ackley and his wife Mary of Arkansas, Joan Keehn of Texas, Tom Ackley and his wife LeeAnn of Oregon, Don Ackley and his wife Yvonne of Woodland, Carol Pellant of Woodland and Harlene Smith and her husband Al of Oregon; 33 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Levi; sisters, LaVita, Jossie, Delilah and Eva; and two sons, Rudy Difuntorum Sr. and Gerald Ackley.

Tommy Levi Ackley died at his home in Klamath Falls, Ore. Tuesday, May 30 at age 52.Mr. Ackley was born Aug. 20, 1954 in Woodland to Cleon Ackley and Thelda (Kast) Rummel. He graduated from Quincy High School and attended Sacramento City College where he played semi-pro football until he enlisted in the U.S. Army. In 2000 he moved to Klamath Falls, owning and operating Altamont Grocery. He also was known for working with Dorris Towing as a tow truck operator.
Survivors include Mr. Ackley's children, Karissa, Douglas, Charlotte and Jolinda; numerous grandchildren; his parents, Thelda Rummel and her husband Donald of Oroville; his stepmother, Stella Ackley of Woodland; his sisters, Linda Satterburg and her husband Jeff of San Diego, Gale Holbrook and her husband Gene of Arkansas and Joan Keehn of Dallas; his brothers, Gene Difuntorum of Woodland and Dale Ackley and his wife Mary of Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Cleon Ackley and his brothers, Donald Ackley, Gerald Ackley and Rudy Difuntorum. Services: A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7 at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22, Woodland. Linda and Jeff Satterburg will officiate. Eternal Hills Funeral Home of Klamath Falls, Ore. is assisting the family with arrangements. -
