Ludwig claimed two quarters in section 8, 6S 46W in 1917.
In 1910 Kit Carson County, Ludwig is 30, born in Nebraska of German parents, a farm laborer living alone.
He also was in the 1910 Harlan County, Nebraska, census, 33 born in Germany, immigrating in 1902, naturalized. He's a farm laborer for his brother-in-law Frank Voiggt.
One possibility is that his neighbors in Kit Carson County gave the information to the census taker.
Franz Ludwig Heinrich Mueller registered with an address of Kirk, Colorado, farming by himself, born May 25, 1877. His nearest relative was Anna Voigt of Republican City, Nebraska. He said he was a naturalized citizen.
In 1920 Kit Carson County, he's still living alone, 40, born in Germany, immigrating in 1902, naturalized in 1909.
Marie (Voigt) Stagel registered as an enemy alien, with parents Frank Voigt and Anna (Miller) Voigt of Republican City.
In 1940 Kit Carson County "Frank" L. Mueller is 62, born in Germany, farming alone.
Ludwig is buried in Republican City 1877-1947 # 89015422. One cemetery listing says he's buried next to his sister Anna Voigt.
Anna Voigt 1874-1944 is also buried there # 89015285, with her husband Frank W. 1872-1950.

August Voigt is in Smith County, Kansas in 1900, born October 1875 in Germany, a farm laborer for Frederick Freihaus 65. August immigrated in 1888.
Elsie Voight, formerly Elsie Arnold, claimed a quarter in 3, 8S 48W in 1909.
In 1910 Elsie is back in Norton County, Kansas, divorced, 29, born in Iowa, with Lena 3 and Opal 1, both born in COlorado. They're living with her brother Orth Arnold 36 and their mother Sarah Arnold 61 born in Indiana.
August A. Voight is in Smith County, Kansas in 1910.
He's 39, married five years but no spouse, with two kids. He's a house painter boarding wtih Eliza Crum in a borading house.
Elsie M. Voight 1880-1962 is buried in Almena, Norton County # 53358184, Lena H. (Voight) MOrris 1906-1993 in Newton Kanas,
and Opal (Voight) Graham 1908-2003 in Almena.
