In 1885 Fillmore County, Nebraska, R. Ferguson is 39, Adaline 31, with Darius 13, son Early 9, Ella 7, and Nora 5, all kids born in Nebraska.
Ella was born Sept 18, 1878 in Sheckley to Russel Ferguson and Adeline McBeth, married to Charles Kreger in 1900 Fillmore county. He's 39, she's 22, and Ethel is 15.

In 1910 Fillmore County, Darius is living with the Kregers.
Ella is buried in Shickley Cemetery, too, 1878-1948 # 101356572, and so are Charles 1860-1943 # 101356570 and Ethel (Kreger) Patrick.

They were next to each other in the 1910 census of Yuma County. Darius is 38, born in Nebraska, father in Illinois, mother in Iowa, with parents Russell G. 63 Illinois and Adaline 56 Iowa. Next household is Richar E. 34 born in Nebaska. _ so they don't appear to be related.
Russell G. Ferguson 1847-1918 is buried in Fillmore County, Nebraska # 66494420 "Co K. 9th Iowa Cavalry". Darius 1873-1950 is also buried there, # 66494369, Richard E. 1875-1931 # 66494379, Adeline 1853-1937 # 66494356, and


Mrs. Adeline Ferguson passed away at her home in Shickley, Nebraska, Wednesday evening April 28, 1937. She had been sick only a few days. Two years ago she was very ill and since then her general health has not been so good. Her daughters, Mrs. Charles Kreger and Mrs. Nora Hines of Creston,and her son, Darius, were with her when death came. Adeline McBeth was born August 25, 1853 in Marion COunty, Iowa. She grew to womanhood near Martinsburg, Iowa.
She married Russel Ferguson in 1869 and came to Nebraska in 1871, settling on a homestead ten mils northwest of Shickley. She lived here all her life except twelve years spent in Colorado.
To this union five children were born. Those surviving are Mrs. C.A. Hines of Creston, Nebraska, Mrs. Charles Kreger of Shickley and Darius of Shickley. One son, Richard Earl, died in 1931, and one daughter died in infancy.
Besides her children she leaves one sister, Mrs. Martha Meyers of Geneva, Nebraska, two granddaughters, Mrs. Herman Hamel of Hawk Springs, Wyoming, and Mrs. Floyd Gorman of Creston, Nebraska and one great-grandson, Donald Loseks, also Ethel and Frances Patrick of Waco, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Friday afternoon, Rev. Richad Gibb officiating.




In 1920 Yuma County, Darious is 48, Emma A. 48 born in Kentucky.

Emma Francis Weaver, better known as Dee Weaver, was born in Madison County, Kentucky, January 17, 1871 and died at her home near Cope, Colorado, January 20, 1924. AT the age of seven years she came west with her parents Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Weaver and lived for six years near Pawnee, Nebraska from which place they came to Smith County in 1884 and lived on a farm in the Crystal Plains community until 1909 when the family moved to Smith Center.

She was married to Derth Furgeson August 1, 1917 and her home has been on a farm near Cope since that time.

Mrs. Ferguson united with the Christian church at an early age and remained a consistent and honored member throughout her life. She was devoted to her parents and especially to her mother who went to her reward September 29 last year, after being a helpless invalid for many years and whom she faithfully cared for throughout most of her illness. She has had her aged father with her since the death of the mother and wife.

Mrs. Ferguson leaves to mourn her departure, her husband, father, one sister, Mrs. Nannie Thompson of Smith Center and three brothers, Andrew of Boulder, Colo., Ed of Otego and George of Smith Center. Funeral services were held in the Christian church here, Wednesday, January 23 at one o'clock. Rev. J. B. Franklin officiating with the Rev. R. A. Allen of the Dewey church assisting. Burial was in the Crystal Plains cemetery.
