Carl and Bertha (Botise) Andreas, 6 South 46 West


Bertha Andreas, 24, a housewife from Schinkelberg, arrived in Galveston June 23, 1911, with Arthur 4 and Bruno 3.
She might be the Bertha Bosse in the 1900 census of Passow, Gadebusch, born May 22, 1885.
Or the Erna Bertha Elisabeth Bosse born December 3, 188 in Hannover to Herman Julius Bosse and Sophie Luise Dora Engelhardt....

Carl Andreas in 1910 Frontier County, Nebraska, 32, born in Germany, immigrating in 1909. He's a boarder, "working out", boarding with the Frank and Frances Romatzki family, also German, immigrating twenty years earlier.


Carl claimed two quarters in 33, 6S 46W in 1917.

On July 29, 1918, Carl H. Andreas and Bertha H. Andeas divorced in Kit Carson County.

In 1920 Kit Carson County, Carl Andreas, 43, divorced, born in Germany, is an employee of John and Dora Knodel.

Bertha H. "Andras" is divorced in 1920 Kit Carson County, 33, immigrating from West Prussia in 1911, with sons Arthur B. 14 and Bruno O. 12 also immigating in 1911. Erma M. 7 and Hilda A. 2 were born in Colorado.
Bertha is a laborer on her own farm.

Charles Hermann Kumkey was born June 28, 1922 in Sykseston, Wells County, North Dakota to Julius Kumkey and Bertha H. Botise, dying January 12, 2001.
In 1930 Seneca County, New York, Arthur Andreas is 24, immigrating in 1910, a molder, brother Bruno 22 is a finisher, and sister Annie 17 born in Colorado is a seamstress.

In 1940 Carl, 62, divorced, is in the Pueblo state hospital. He was in Kit Carson County in 1935.

Carl Andreas, age 66, buried April 30, 1944, is in Pueblo, Colorado Plot E 10 H 3, per # 99796813.

Arthur Andreas, son of Bertha H. Bohse and Carl Andreas, married Olga Benassi, daughter of Rocco Benacci and Mary Turconi, on February 6, 1932 in Seneca County.


BERTHA'S THIRD HUSBAND - JULIUS KUMKEY




In November 1911, Julius "Kunke" and Anna Gertrude Yonkey had a premature infant dying in Alverton, Pennsylvania, to be buried there.

He's widowed in 1920 Wells County, 32, born in Poland, with daughter Florence 2 born in North Dakota.
Florence Anna Grimm was born May 20, 1917 in Heaton, North Dakota to Julius Kumkey and Anna Yonkey, dying December 12, 2001.
She's buried in Arlington, Texas, # 126870621, with George William Grimm 1911-1992.

In 1925 Seneca Falls, New York, Bertha, 38, is married to Julius Kurnkey, 38. With them are Arthur Andras, 19 and Bru... 17 born in Germany, Erma 12 and Hilda 8 born in the U.S. They aslo have Florence Kurnkey 8, Charles 2, and Ina three months.

They're back in Seneca Falls in 1935, where Julius works for Geneva Opt Co., living at 5 Oak.


"Waterloo, New York - Julius Kumkey, 84, of RD 2, died Friday (Jan. 15, 1971) in Geneva General Hospital after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Genung Funeral Home. Burial will be in Maplegrove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friends may contribute in his memory to the memorial fund of the First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo.
A native of Uniontown, Pa., Mr. Kumkey spent most of his life in the Waterloo area. He was a machinist at Shurou Optical Co. in Geneva before his retirement. Surviving are a son, Charles, of Clifton Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Kidd and Mrs. Homer Jenkins, both of Waterloo, and Mrs. William Grimm of Texas; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren."

Donald Kidd, spouse of Ina Kidd, 1922-2011 is buried in Seneca County, # 67809009.

Donald C. Kidd, 88, of Seneca Falls, died Tuesday (Mar. 22, 2011) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, with his loving family by his side. He is survived by his wife, of 64 years, Ina Kidd; two daughters, Donna (Frank) Schoenacker of Scottsville and Carol (Brent) Gibbs of Seneca Falls; 4 grandchildren, Kevin (Khimberly) Schoenacker, Steven Schoenacker, Kristy (George) Al-drich, and Jeffrey (Kathryn) Gibbs; one great-granddaughter, Amelia Aldrich; many nieces and nephews; and special companions Bailey and Pebbles.
There will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (Apr. 2) at the First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Burial will be In Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Romulus."

October 23, 1964 "Miss Deanna J. Jenkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer E. Jenkins of North Road, was married Oct. 10 to Ralph Bellinger, son of Mrs. John Capalla of Clyde and William Bellinger of Wolcott. Rev. Eugene P. Degitz performed the ceremony in First Presbyterian Church of Waterloo. Miss Bonnie Stewart of Waterloo was maid of honor, and Donald Hubbard of Wolcott was best man. "

Dorothy Bertha Jenkins was born March 7, 1926 in Waterloo to Julius Kumkey and Bertha H. "Bohse", dying May 19, 1999.
