His brother Nelson Thomas Wilburn (1847-1886), In 1869, Nelson married Margaret Amy also of Harrison County. This union produced two children, Lewis Wilburn, 1868-1913, and Maggie Ann who died at age three. Margaret died a short while later. Nelson remarried in 1874.
His new wife was sixteen year old Nancy Catharine Elliott of Crawford County,
Indiana, who became a stepmother to eight year old Lewis.
Nelson and Catharine had three children,
John Thomas Wilburn, 1875-1947; Annie born 1877 and Cordia born 1878.

1941 Greensburg, Indiana "In an early fall wedding pronounced at 12 o'clock Sunday in the Grace Methodist
church at Franklin, Miss Maxine Collicott, daughter of Mrs. Rosa Collicott, became the bride of Benjamin Amy,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lafe L. Amy, of Corydon. The Rev. O. Tevis Martin, pastor of the church, pronounced the
single ring ceremony. The bride wore a two-piece suit of rust colored wool trimmed in black fur with
black accessories and wore a shoulder bouauet of white button chrysanthemums. Mrs. Ruth Collicott,
sister-in-law of the bride, was matron of honor and wore brown with green and brown accessories.
Her shoulder bouquet was of yellow chrysanthemums. Dudley Amy, brother of the groom, was best man.
Those attending the wedding included Mrs. Rosa Collicott, Mr. and Mrs. George V. Collicott,
Mr. and Mrs. A M. Beck, Dudlev Amy, Miss Hetem Tower, Mrs. Alta Little, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Little and children, Eddie and Loreta, and Mrs. O. Tevis Martin.
A chicken dinner followed at the Dixie Tea Room in Franklin.
In a few days the couple will be at their newly furnished home at 211 West Hope"
(1951 "Two more local men have returned from the southern portion of Indiana with successful reports of deer hunting. Dudley and Benjamin Amy, who visiting with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lafe Amy, at Corydon, while hunting in Harrison county, returned with venison. Dudley bagged a 155-pound, spiked horn buck and Benjamin killed a doe. Mrs. Dudley Amy accompanied her husband to Corydon to visit with his parents.")
