A general breakdown of his former strong constitution supplemented by heart disease, was the immediate cause of his taking away, although surrounded by all the conveniences of life and the best medical skill in the city, the brittle threads of life were broken, and that devout spirit soared aloft to be with her he loved so well in life, and the children gone before. The interment was had in Fairview Cemetery, where the fond father was tenderly laid to rest, beside the companion of his joys and sorrows, when they together trod happy pathways of life, and are now sleeping side be side awaiting the resurection morning.
