Kit Carson County Pioneers:
Henry S. Roby , 6 South 44 West
Henry cash-claimed a quarter in 27, 6S 44W in 1891, another in section 11 in 1893, and another in 28 in 1894.
Henry S. Roby, also known as George Davis, filed for a pension on Februray 12, 1892, from Colorado, for service in the 12th Maine.
He has to be the Henry S. Roby who purchased one-fourth of a block at 1800 Glencoe in Denver on May 20, 1895. He held on to it, and then on March 22, 1921 sold to Ralph Waldo McCrillis five days after Ralph's father Edwin died.
The History of Sutton, New Hampshire says Joseph Roby (father of Martha Roby McCrillis - had eleven kids. One, Henry S. Roby, born Sept 7, 1836 died March 1, 1841, per that history.
