Frederick Summer George was born October 6, 1851 in Boston, Massachusetts to James and Lucy Maria (Saxton) George.
Fred S. George of Denver, Colorado, age 20, son of James and Lucy, married C.A. E. Tonks, age 22, of Malden, Massachusetts, daughter of Joseph and Charlotte J., in Malden July 14, 1872.
Bessie May George was born Feb 2, 1875 in Malden to Fred and Charlotte.

In 1880 Denver, Fred S. George is a liveryman, 28, with Charlotte 29 born in England. Florence L. 6 and Bessie M. 5 were born in Colorado, and his mother Lucy M. 49 ws born in Vermont.

The services, which were largely attended, being conducted by Rev. S. E. P. White of the Presbyterian church. The pall bearers were: Sherman Bailey, Mr. Flint, E. J. Gould, Tom Smart, A. J. Abercrombie, and Fred Bursley. Interment was made in Greenwood cemetery. Mr. George, a brother of County Auditor James L. George, is survived by his widow and a five year old daughter. He was one of the early residents of Bemidji, having come here as a log scaler 10 years ago. He worked for George Cochran. (Bemidji Daily Pioneer) "
