Hugh Montgomery, born in 1816 on the site of the battlefield of Tippecanoe, married Dycie Anderson, and had Wiliam C. , Martha (wife of George Earl, a farmer of Madison County, Nebrask) and Mrs. Alice Taylor of Cromwell, Iowa.

Martha Montgomery and George Earl married May 8, 1866 in Knoxville, Illinois.

George Earl was in 1880 Harrison County, Missouri, 47, with Martha O. 33, Laura A. 1, Hugh E. 11, Mary D. 9, Robert W. 7, and John E. 2.

George Earl in 1900 Madison County, Nebraska, born August 1833 in Ohio, married 34 years to Martha March 1847 Illinois. John was born Feb 1878 Missouri, Gracy April 1884 Nebraska, and cassie Fweb 1891 Nebraska.
George 1833-1922 and Martha Olive (Montgomery) Earl are buried in Madison County, Nebraska, # 59611787.
August 1922 "George Earl, pioneer settler of Madison county and civil war veteran, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H. E. Penhollow. He was eighty-nine years old."

George A. Earl received an invalid pension in February 1884 in Colorado for service in the 196th Ohio Infantry.
He's probably the George A. Earle 1837-1891 buried in Canon City, Colorado # 33051446.
His Leavenworth Hospital record said he was single, a gardener residing at "Kanyon" Colorado, nearest relative Mrs. Helen Citts, sister, of Cleveland, Ohio.
