"Rainhard" Briegel was naturalized March 30, 1876 in Racine County, WIsconsin, born in Bavaria, Germany, age 22. He immigrated October 1869 through New York.Chillicothe, Missouri, February 1963 "Mrs. Adaline Gibson, a former Chillicothe and Trenton resident, died Monday evening at the home of her niece, Mrs. Clifton (Marie) Kailey, in Los Angeles, where she had made her, home for three years, The body will be taken to the Slater Funeral Home for funeral services. Mrs. Gibson was born Jan. 13, 1889, eight miles northwest of Trenton, the daughter of Rhinehart and Barbara Lenz Briegel. She attended Locust Grove rural school and Trenton high school. She was married to Elbert I. Coulter at Trenton on June 17, 1911. Mr. Coulter died on Jan. 15, 1918. She was then employed at the J. C. Penney Co. in Trenton. On Feb. 21, 1926, she was married to Henry Homer Gibson at Kansas City. They resided in Trenton until 1941, when they moved to Parsons, Kan. When Mr. Gibson retired, they moved to Chillicothe in 1956. Mr. Gibson died Oct. 31, 1958. In October, 1959, Mrs. Gibson moved to Los Angeles and made her home with her niece, Mrs. Kailey. She was a member of the Chillicothe Assembly of God Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to Railway Trainmen, Parsons, Kan. While residing in Chillicothe, she made her home on State street. Her survivors are two nieces, Mrs. Kailey, Los Angeles, and Mrs. W. C. Pearce, San Jose, Calif., and five nephews, Robert, Ted and Albert Rham, Los Angeles, and Emmett and Kerwin Briegel, Eads, Colo. There are several cousins in Grundy County. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Friday afternoon at the Slater Funeral Home at Trenton. The Rev. Orville Grace, minister of the Assembly of God Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be made in the family lot at the Maple Grove cemetery at Trenton. |
