CARL
Carl Gerhardt Bamesberger, the son of Henry and Marie (Wall) Bamesberger, was born at Burlington, Colorado, on November 8, 1897, and passed away at his farm home, south of Hampton, Nebraska, on April 29, 1988, at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 21 days.
In 1901, the family moved to the farm home near Hampton, where he has lived the rest of his life.
On February 20, 1924, he was united in marriage to Alma Troester, near Hampton.
In 1940 Hamilton County, Carl is 42, Alma 38, Robert 12, and Marilyn 8, both alma and the kids born in Nebraska.
They retired in 1956, and continued to reside on the farm.
Louis Otto Bamesberger, the son of Carl G. and Martha Marie (Troester) Bamesberger, was born on the family farm southwest of Hampton, Nebraska, on July 24, 1916, and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 10, 2006, at the age of 89.
He grew up in the rural Hampton area and attended St. Peter Lutheran School and graduated from Hampton High School. Louis worked on the family farm with his father and grandfather.
Louis was united in marriage to Velma Arline Kamtz on April 13, 1941, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. He continued to farm for 33 years southeast of Hampton. For a short time he was the cook at Helen’s Restaurant in Hampton. In 1974, he turned over the farming to his sons and went to work as sales manager for Todd Hybrid Seed Corn. In 1975, Louis and Velma moved to Aurora. At the same time Louis took over as manager of the Hampton Co-Op Feed Mill until he retired in 1981. Velma passed away June 26, 2004.

At the time of the 1930 census, Arthur was single, and was the proprietor of a general store in Hampton.
Gertrude M. Miller, 94, lifelong resident of Hampton, died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Services will be Wednesday, July 12 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hampton with Rev. Randall Smith officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 11 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Hampton Cemetery.
Gertrude Martha Miller was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Hampton to Christian and Katherine (Bamesberger) Wall. She received her education in Hampton, graduating from Hampton High School in 1929.
On Aug. 28, 1932, she married Arthur F. Miller at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Concord. They made their home in Hampton where they owned and operated the Corner Store for several years and then farmed until their retirement. They continued to live in Hampton. Her husband died in January of 1990. She moved to the East Park Villa in Aurora in January of 2005 and had been at Hamilton Manor for that last few weeks.
Final services for Lillie Dorothea Fanselau were Monday, June 5, 1978 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Rev. Wayne Mesecher, officiating.
Mrs. Fanselau, who died Wednesday, May 31, 1978 in Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital at the age of 85, was interring in Fairview Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Rudy Schaal, George Hubbard, Buster Jenkins, George Wells, Ernie Schick and Frank Seelhoff and organist Jean Diekman accompanied Don Monasmith, who sang "Rock of Ages" and "Saved by Grace".
Lillie Bamesberger Fanselau was born in Denver Feb. 18, 1893. She was baptized and later confirmed her faith in Immanuel Lutheran Church, north of Bethune, where she grew up.
April 14, 1912, she joined her life in holy matrimony to Henry A. Fanselau (witnesses Edward J. Fanselau and Amos Bamesberger) and the two of them homesteaded 20 miles southeast of Burlington where they resided until 1935, at which time they moved to Newberg, Ore.
In 1942 they returned to the Bethune-Burlington area, where she lived until her death. Mrs. Fanselau lived the last five years of her life in the Burlington Rest Home.
Lillie was a devout Christian and faithfully attended church as long as her health permitted. She was an active member of the Ladies' Mission Society for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Henry, of Grace Manor Nursing Home; daughters Mildred Viola Stahlecker and Leona Gertrude Wiedman of Burlington and Geneva Eleanora Wohlgemuth of Vancouver, Wash.; brother Amos Holland of Loveland; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
