Dietrich and Lena Lange, 6 South 43 West

Lena, widow of Dietrich, proved up 134 acres in 5, 6 South, 43W in 1905, and 40 acres in 5 1/2 S 43W in 1905.


Dietrich 1850-1899 is buried in German Lutheran - Yuma County - # 526053997.
In 1900 Idalia precinct, Lena born Nov 1852 in Germany, is widowed, with Detrick Apr 1880 Germany, Emma May 1885 Illinois, Herman Oct 1887 Illinois, Manda April 1890 Colorado,and Myrtle Jun 1895 Colorado.

Dietrich Lange cash-claimed a quarter in 5 1/2 South 43W in 1901 - that strip of land later was transferred from Yuma County to Kit Carson County.
1904 Wray "Mr. Lange and sister from over near Landsman Colorado were trading in our city Wednesday. Mr. Lange brought a horse over to sell to some one of our horse buyers."

In 1910 Santa Monica, California, Herman 22, born in Illinois is a teamster, and Lena 57 is a waiter in a restaurant.
In 1920 Los Angeles, Lena Lange, 68, immigrating 1874, naturalized 1875 is with daughter Martha Oler 24, and her husband Walter E. 36. Walter owns a restaurant.

In 1910 Yuma County, Emma M. is 24, married to Jugener R. Lundvall, 32, with Edith L. 23 months.
In 1920 Yuma County, Gunder R. 42 and Minnie 34 have Edith 11, Grace 8, and Roy 3.
Still in Yuma County in 1930, Rudolph 54 and Emma 44 have Edith 21, Grace 18, Roy 13, and Elmer 9.

Edith Eldona Lundvall, 93, of Greeley died Wednesday, July 11, 2002 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit. She was born May 14, 1908, in Hale to Rudolph and Emma (Lange) Lundvall.
Miss Lundvall attended school in Hale and moved to Greeley with her family when she was a young woman. She was a bookkeeper for Lundvall Realty for many years. She and her sister, Grace, cared for their parents in their home until the parents died at the ages of 86 and 96.
Miss Lundvall was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The sisters spent many hours cooking, baking and delivering food to their elderly friends. They especially enjoyed preparing large family dinners. Edith Lundvall also raised large vegetable gardens and canned or froze ample supplies of fruit and vegetables. She loved teaching her nieces these skills.
Survivors are a brother, Elmer Lundvall of Greeley; three nieces and a nephew; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews and great-grandnieces and great-nephews. Her sister, Grace Bauer, and a brother, Roy Lundvall, are deceased.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Greeley Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday at the Allnutt Funeral Service Macy Chapel.Instead of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado Inc. in care of the Macy Chapel, 702 13th St., Greeley, CO 80631.
Emma 1885-1968 # 65227555 and Rudolph G. Lundvall 1876-1972 are buried in Greeley.

His family moved to the United States, in 187 settling in Nebraska, In 18? they moved to Hale, Colo.
On May 4, 1905, Lundvall married Emma M. Lange in Wray, and farmed a homestead in Hale until 1934 when he retired and moved to Greeley. His wife died March 25, 1968. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors are two sons and two daughters: Roy Lundvall, Elmer Lundvall, Edith Lundvall and Grace Lundvall all of Greeley. Also surviving are six grandchildren, three great-granddaughters, five nieces and one nephew. Lundvall and his wife were preceded in death by two infant children. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Macy-Allnutl Drawing Room, with interment at Linn Grove Cemetery. In 1920 Yuma County, John A. Lundvall is 41, Amanda A. 19, with Elsie G. 1. Next line is Oscar E. Lundvall, 43, born in Sweden. On the same page is JJungeer and Emma Lundvll.
John 1868-1925 is buried in Saint Johns # 14774146.

Amanda 29 and John A. Lundvall, 50, are in Yuma County in 1920, with Elsie, 11.

NELLIE DORA
Possibly the Elinor Ash in 1900 Leadville Colorado, born Oct 1874 in France, with German parents, a seamstress, married four years to George J. July 1871 California, a hotel waiter.
George J. Asche married Dorothy "Lango" April 27, 1896, recorded in San Miguel County.
(maybe George tended bar in Telluride ?)


In 1907 Los Angeles, George J. Asche is a bartender, living at 1000 E. 53d.

In 1910 Los Angeles, Dora Asche 35 born in Germany is widowed, running a restaurant. Martha, sister, 15, is a waitress.
Nellie Dora Asche 1874-1918 is buried in Los Angeles # 23695959, with George J. Asche 1871-1910.

In 1927, Martha Oler, born June 23, 1895 at Burlington, Colorado, arrived in Honolulu.
In 1940 Lena 87, is with restaurant workers Walter and Martha.
So she's not likely the one killed in September 1950 at age 75


September 1972 "Walter Oler died Tuesday
Walter Oler, 89, Los Angeles, Calif., died Tuesday in a hospital there after an eight - day illness.

Mr. Oler was born and raised on a farm between Boone and Ames. Survivors include his wife Martha, Los Angeles; a niece, Mrs. Marvin Buechler, 3630 Story St., and nephew Marvin Cooper of Ankeny. Am.t Daily Tribune Wed., Sept. 6, 1972 Funeral services will be Saturday at Englewood, Calif."
Martha M. Oler, born June 23, 1895 in Colorado, died Feb 26, 1978 in Los Angeles.
