In 1900 Graham County, Kansas, Frederick Hetzel born Jan 1874 in Missouri, is with Jacob May 1837 Germany and Sophila Oct 1844 Pennsylvania. She's had six kids, five living. With them are George Oct 1881 and Charles May 1886, both Kansas.
Sovilla was the daughter of Isaac and Leah (Moyer) Bowersox. She came west to Iowa with her parents then to Missouri. In Livingston, Missouri she married Jacob Michael Hetzel on 26 October 1873.
Jacob died in 1907, and is buried in Hill City # 48044450. Sovilla 1847-1917 is also buried there # 48044407.
Sometime after 1910, Sovilla married James Harris.
One daughter Amanda Bowersox 1847-1923 married James Franklin Alexander 1841-1928.
In 1910 Stratton precinct, Fred is 38, Lena 35, Sophia 7, Marie 5,
Ralph 2, and Grace two months, all born in Kansas.
They're also on the Vona precinct register, Fred 36, Lena 26,
Sophia 6, Mammie 4, Ralph 2, and unnamed daughter one month, born in Colorado.
Fred Hetzel registered with a Stratton address, married to Lennie, born January 20, 1874.
In 1920 Stratton, Fred 46 and Lannie 36 Illinois, have Sylvia 15, Mamie 14, Mable 8, Thelma 7, Fay (son) 5, Floyd 2, and Grace fouir months.
Sylvia E. Hetzel age 21, and Cecil A. Scott , age 23, both of Stratton, married in Burlington Feb 24, 1926, with Lennie Hetzel and E.W. Scott as witnesses.
Mabel E. Hetzel, age 18, and M.I. Goodloe 21, both of Stratton, married in Burlington Jan 9, 1929.
In 1930 Kit Carson County, Lennie E. is divorced, a seamstress, 56, with Viola G. 20, Laura Dean and Norma Jean, both 16.
Fred S. Hetzel and Lennie E. Hetzel divorced in Kit Carson County in 1932.
Fred is divorced in 1940 San Bernardino, California, 66, born in Missouri, a gardner in a private home.
California death index has Fred I. Hetzel born Jan 20, 1875 in Missouri, mother's maiden name "Bqurisox", dying in San Bernardino April 25, 1964.
April 29, 1964 "Fred Isaac Hetzel, 89, of 25910 E. 9th St.,
San Bernardino, died Saturday in a San Bernardino hospital.
A native of Missouri, he had lived in San Bernardino 29 years.
He was a retired construction foreman. Survivors include a son,
Floyd L. Hetzel of Denver, Colo.; six daughters, Mrs.
Sylpha E. Scott, Mrs. Mabel Goodloe, Mrs. Mamie A. Woodside, Mrs. Lorna D. Miller, Mrs. Norma Jean Young, and Mrs. Grace McGinsey, all of Denver, Colo.; a brother, Charles, of Texas; a sister, Mrs. Clara Newton of Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today at the Mark B. Shaw Chapel. Burial will be at Montecito Memorial Park."
Fred Hetzel had proved up one quarter in 10S 48 W in 1912, and 80 acres in 1914.
In 1930 Kit Carson County, Cecil A. and Sylvia Scott, both 26, have Mable L. 2 and VernonL. four months. Sylvia's brother Fay Hetzel 15 is lviing with them.

VIOLA
VIOLA GRACE HETZEL MCGIMSEY, 82, of Denver died Jan. 11, 2002. Services were Jan. 15, with burial at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mrs. McGimsey was born in Stratton on Sept. 19, 1919. She married Kenneth McGimsey, 1940. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband; son Dennis; daughter Pamela; brother Floyd Hetzel; sisters Mabel Goodloe, Norma Young, all of Denver; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
MABLE
In 1930 Eckley, Colorado, "Erl Goodlow" is running a filling station, with Mable E. 20 and Yvonne four months.
In 1940 Denver, Irl M. Goodloe is 31, a night watchman, with Mable E. 30, both born in Colorado. Yvonne R. is 10, all born in COlorado, and were in Arriba Colordo in 1935.

FAY
Fay G. Hetzel married Nina Tanner Sept 6, 1938, recorded in Lincoln County, Colorado.
in 1940 Kit Carson County is 25, married to Nina R., 24, and they have Donna nine months.
In 1960 Denver Fay G. is a welder for U.S. Foundry, and he and Nina live at 4817 W 29th.
One tree said she was Nina Ruth Tanner, and that Fay died September 1963.
FLOYD
Floyd L. Hetzel married Wava Campbell January 9, 1939, recorded in Yuma County.
In 1940 Denver, Floyd is 22, a watchman for t mercantile company, married to Ward, 21, both born in Colorado.
In 1960 Denver, Floyd L. is a driver for the Bd of Educ, Wava is a clerk at the Credit Bur of Greater Denver, and they live at 645 S. Perry.
Wava P. Hetzel 85, died May 2004.
MAMIE
"Mamie A. Woodside of Denver, a foster parent, died July 20 in Denver. She was 93.
Services were July 27 at Crown Hill Chapel. Interment was in Crown Hill Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 22, 1905, in Hill City, Kan. In 1925, she married Ralph Woodside. He preceded her in death.
She was a foster parent for 30 years. Her interests included crocheting and gardening.
She is survived by a son, Joe Price, San Diego; three sisters, Mabel Goodloe, Grace McGimsey and Norma Jean Young, all of Denver; a brother, Floyd Hetzel, Denver; three granddaughters; and 150 foster children.

In 1920 Idalia precinct, Yuma County, Ross is 19, Charles 21, both farm laborers for WIlliam and Fred Bader.
In 1910 Graham County, Kansas, William Hetzel is 33, Missouri, with Clara ?3 Iowa, married 13 years. They have Chrley 11, Ross 9, Lee 6, Laura 3, and May 1, all born in Kansas.
Lee Hetzel was a witness for the Dec 6 1920 wedding of Ross Hetzel and Gertie Sparks, both 21 of Idalia.
Charlie Loren Hetzel, 22 and Minnie Rachel Sparks, 16 , both of Idalia, married in Burlington Oct 4, 1921.
Ava M. Hetzel 1927-1944 is buried in Burlington, # 89523955.

Charles Loren Hetzel married Minnie Rachel Sparks October 4, 1921, recorded in Kit Carson Couty.
William, 44, was a patient in Labette Kansas, in 1920, so that may be why Clora was in Yuma COunty.
In 1920 Idalia precinct, Clora Asman is 39, married to John Asman 36, and her daughter Lura Hetzel 13 is living wtih them.
In 1930 Idalia, John A. and Clora (index has Dora) are living alone.
In 1940 Clara G. 60 and John Osman 56 are back in Phillips County, Kansas.
The 1955 and 1959 Grand Junction directories have living in Clifton John A. and Chlora Osman.
John A. 1884-1962 # 32168557 and Clora Ann (Cochran) Osman 1880-1970 # 32168567 are buried in Grand Junction.

Lee claimed a tract of land in sections 6, 6S 43W
and sections 14 and 23, 6S 44 W in 1939.
Lee Hetzel and Maye Hetzel divorced in Kit Carson County in 1937.
Lee E. Hetzel is in Mesa County, Colorado in 1940, and was in Kit Carson County in 1935.
Lee is 35, born in Kansas, a truck driver for road construction, with Ruby F. 32 Kansas, Margie I. 17 Kansas, Robert L. 14 Colordo, and three stepchildren - Josephine V. Green 12 Kansas, Homer W. 9 COlorado, and Gerald L. 5, Colorado.
Lee 1903-1996 is buried with Ruby 1907-1983 in Grand Junction # 32806001

John A. Osman, born Jan 1884 in Kansas, is with parents in Graham County in 1900. Brother Frank P. Osman, born Ape 1881 Kansas, and Ira D. Jan 1880 Kansas.
The tree said that John and Kate divorced in 1912, and
Kate moved to Stratton to be with son Howard (he had proved up two quarters in 12S 47W in 1920) and that she was in First View, COlordo in 1920, dying in Idalia in 1925, buried in Belleville, Kansas.
1910 Hermes items "Frank Osman and family of Logan, Kan., arrived last week and pulled to their homestead one mile north of Hermes."
Frank proved up a tract in section 26, 5S 45W in 1914.
Frank Powrie Osman, per one tree, born Sep 22, 1882, married Lillie Jane Nichol 1903, divorced in 1927, and died in Yuma 1968.
39536081 is Marvin W. Osman 1914-1977.
The tree said Alpha Osman, born 1906 at Roosevelt, Kansas,
married Frederick Aydelott in 1925, and died in Yuma April 6, 1968.
Melvin Howard Osman, 1921-1995 is buried in Akron, # 75357645.
So is Frank P. Osman 1882-1968 # 75357622.
