In 1870 Morrow County, Ohio, Nelson Benson is farming, 33, born in Ohio, with Harriet, 30 Ohio. William 10, and Arthur 8 were also born in Ohio.
Nelson married Jane about 1886, and they're in Delaware County Ohio in 1900 - Nelson is buried there.
Jane is divorced in 1900 Columbus, Ohio, and was living there in the 1905 directory.
William N. Benson married Martha S. Jones, both of Burlington, July 17, 1907.
In 1910 William N. Benson filed to sell land in 33, 10S 43W, for the estate of Hattie Benson, deceased, heirs William N. Benson and Arthur H. Benson.
W.N. Benson was the clerk for a stock sale at the Al Rogers ranch fifteen miles southeast of Burlington, in 1910.

Daniel H. Jones claimed a quarter in section 21, 8S 43W in 1891.
Etta M. Jones married Avolough D. Rogers May 16, 1894 in Burlington, both 22 years old.
In 1900 Kit Carson County, Daniel H. Jones is widowed, born April 1844 in Pennsylvania. Newton L. Dec 1869 Illinois, Etta M. May 1872 Illinois, Martha S. Aug 1874 Illinois, John W. Jan 1882 Illinois, son-in-law Avalough D. Rogers July 1874 is probably married to Etta M. , with daughter Hazel M. Aug 1896 and Claude July 1898, both Colorado.
Daniel Jones is living with Avalough and Etta in 1910 Kit Carson County, with Hazel M. 13 and Martin C. 11.
One descendant has written a very nice history of Daniel Jones.
It says "Daniel died in Burlington on August 14, 1914 at 4:30 p.m.
of heart failure but was buried next to his wife, Mary Ellen (# 137112217) in London Mills,
Illinois on September 4, 1914, possibly his last wish before dying. "
Newton L. Jones is a blacksmith in 1910 Kit Carson County, 40, born in Illinois, with Mary E. 28 Kansas. Newton Jr. 7, Nelson C, 2, and Floyd E. D. one month were all born in Colorado..
In 1920 St. Louis, Missouri, Newton L. is a laborer, 53, with Mary E. 38, Newton L. 17, Melvin 12, and Floyd E. 9, all three born in COlorado.
Newton Jones, divorced, born Dec 12, 1869 in Illinois, son of Daniel Jones and MK? Mitchell, buried in St. Mathews Cemetery March 11, 1928, St. Louis.
He's buried in Saint Matthew Cemetery # 128576165.
In 1940 St. Louis, Floyd is a car loader, 29, with Dorothy M. 28, Floyd N. 11, James E. 8, David and Dorothy A. both 7.l
Floyd E.D. Jones 1910-1983 is buried in Montgomery County, Missouri # 118291624, with Dorothy 1912-1974.
Melvery C. Jones 1907-1975 is buried in St. Louis County # 133191103, with Mary M. Jones 1909-1982.
Newton J.D. Jones, 27, married Eunice L. Giddens in Jerseyville, Illinois oon May 6, 1930.
Eunice Zelma Jones was born Nov 23, 1914 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to John F. Giddens and Mellie Jeffords, dying Feb 21, 1998.
He registered for WWII in St. Louis, born October 16, 1902 in Kit Carson County.
In 1910 Kit Carson County, William N. Benson is 50, born in Ohio, married three years to Mattie, 34, Illinois.
August 1916 - Paris, Texas "While W. N. Benson and wife,
who live on East Price street, were sitting on the front porch Monday night
after supper they heard a noise made by something falling in a room
and going to see what it was they found that the door of an old clock
that was nearly a hundred years old and had been in the family many years,
had fallen out. The cords that held the door in place had finally become
so moth-eaten and rusty that they had broken in two.
Behind the door of the clock was a Cleveland, Ohio newspaper published in 1 s7Ai, that gave an account of the election in which Tilden and Hendricks were counted out."
In 1930 Paris, Texas, William is a night watchman for a laundry, 68, with Mattie, 55.
W. N. Benson, born Sept 27, 1859 in Ohio, died in Paris Texas Sep 29, 1934.
His death certificate said his parents names were unobtainable, and that he would be buried in Evergreen September 30, 1934.

W. N. BENSON DIES SATURDAY EVENING
Funeral Service Set For 5 o'Clock Sunday at Manton-Fry Chapel
W. N. Benson died at 5:00 p. m. Saturday at his home 33 East Price street,
where he had been ill some time. The funeral will be held at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Manton-Fry funeral chapel
on Clarksville street, conducted by the Rev. C. Simpson, presiding elder
of the Paris Methodist district and interment will be at Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Benson, who was 75 years old on Thursday, was born at CardJngtcna, Ohio,
but had made his home in Paris many years. He united in 1915 with the
Lamar Avenue Methodist church, now the First Methodist church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mattie Benson and two cousins,
Don Benson of Paris and Frank Benson of Long Beach, California. He had been in failing health about two years. In 1940 Mattie is in the Eastern Star home in Tarrant County, Texas, widowed, 66, living in Paris Texas in 1935.
January 22, 1956 Paris, Texas "Mrs. Mattie Benson, former Paris resident, died in the Eastern Star Home at Arlington, Mrs. Floyd Patterson, secretary of Paris Chapter No. 5, OES, was notified Saturday. The funeral Sunday at 2:30 p.m., will be held in Arlington, where burial will be made. The only immediate relative is a sister living in California. She was the widow of W N. Benson, who was in the livery and automobile business here. "
Her death certificate says she was born at Fulton, Illinois.
