Baker Family

 

Frank D. Baker came to America from England, sometime after 1860 as a child with his mother Eliza Jane Bailey Baker.

She brought with her several children and we have no knowledge of her husband.

They setteled in the Sandusky County Ohio area where Frank D. Baker was naturalized on October 9, 1884.

 

Frank D. Baker migrated to Colorado where he married Julia Ann Groom on March 11, 1897 in Morrison, Colorado.  Julia was born November 20, 1880 on North Turkey Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado to John Thomas and Nancy Jane Brown Groom.  They resided in Morrison the rest of their lives.

 

Frank D. Baker worked in farming and as a teamster.  He hauled limestone, clay etc. to Globeville and other smelters in Denver.

    Marion Hope Baker born March 3, 1904, married Edward Hodgson, died June 15, 1955

    Jean Clara Baker born 1910,  died 1828

    Bernice Baker born May 14, 1912, married Ben Webb, died 2003

    William Emerson Baker born August 2, 1914, married Bernice Lewis, died May 10, 1996   

    Ruth Baker born 1917, married John Brandsma,
