The opening of Buford Road August 23, 1931

Tom Tucker ~ I know this is hard to see. Looks like a hunting pack trip ready to go at Buford in the 1930's.  The gas station is the metal building.  The building is still there but the road improvements changed the shape of the hill.  W still use the building.

Tom Tucker ~ The original Buford store was across the river from the current location. The building was a store and home combination. The county bridge/road crossed the White River here before the road was realigned. Some of the old logs from this, the original store wer still in a pile in 1965.
