Died March 4, 1975 - New Castle, CO / Jack's passing was
due to an apparent heart attack, followed by a traffic accident, as he
was driving on Hwy 6 about 1-mile west of New Castle.

Jack was a life-long resident of
New Castle. He grew up in the community and attended school at the old
school house on Main Street. Jack was a member of the high school band
and also played basketball. He was very involved in the New Castle
community and served as a council member on the Town Council for 19
years. Jack was instrumental in getting television service into the
community and devoted many years maintaining the TV booster system
located on top of Coal Ridge (Hogback south of river). This required
driving or hiking to the top of the mountain to service the equipment
anytime service was interrupted. Jack operated a trucking business in
town for 47 years and he drove a bus for the New Castle school for 34

Betty moved to New
Castle at a very young age and grew up in the town and attended school
at the old school on New Castle's Main Street. In high school she was a
member of the girl's basketball team. She worked at the New Castle Post
Office for many years. After the death of her husband, Jack in 1975,
