Hannah Mildred
Harp was the daughter of Thad and Nettie Harp of Rifle.
Wesley Irven
Elliot was the son of Thomas and Charlotte Elliottt of McCoy. Eagle
County.
They went all through high school together at Rifle and
graduated at the same time.
They were married Christmas day 1922 in
Rifle at the Christian Church (which became the Presbyterian Church).
They had two daughters, Barbara Jean DoddsĂ·Scott and Lola Everett. They
lived at 329 east 4th in Rifle
Mildred was born May 7. 1904 in Rifle
and passed away April 25. 1984 at Porter Memorial Hospital in Denver.
She had lived all of her life except 6 months in Rifle.
Irven was
born February 2, 1900 in McCoy. Eagle County. He passed away August 27
1980 in Rifle. He had lived all of his married life except for 6 months
in Rifle. Those six months were in Meeker.. Both are buried at Rose
Hill.
For the first 30 years of their marriage, Irven worked for Harp
Transportation in Rifle.
He later went into business as Elllott
Transfer contracting delivery and pickup of freight for the Rio Grande
Railtoad Company and for Rio Grande Motorways in Rifle.
Mildred was
an agent for Rio Grande Motorways for 30 years.
Irven was 80 when he
passed away. Mildred was 78.
