LOCATION
The CV Bar Ranch is located on the western
slope of Colorado. It is 200 miles west of Denver, about 35
miles from Glenwood Springs. Middle River Creek runs for
several miles through the ranch. This stream provides
excellent fishing. In addition to the stream on the ranch
there are dozens of good fishing streams within an hours
drive. Wildlife is everywhere and you are sure to enjoy it
in this great out-of-doors. Altitude at the lodge is
just over 6,000 while at the upper end of the ranch is 9,000
ft.
EASILY REACHED
The CV Bar Ranch is easily reached by car,
train, bus or air. For example, you can leave Chicago
by train one afternoon and be at the Ranch by mid afternoon
the next day. You can fly into the air port at Grand
Junction, Colorado. Bus lines link this area with the East,
Southwest and West Coast. All roads leading to the Ranch are
beautiful scenic drives. Coming from Denver you go over
Loveland pass and through Glenwood Canyon, which is often
described as th emost beautiful of all Western Gorges. A
ranch car will meet flights at Grand Junction with a slight
extra charge; Glenwood, no charge.
