Roswell and Roswell
City sprang up in a day, born in 1889 of the junction of the Rock Island and Rio
Grande Railroads, on the Monument Creek two and a half miles north of Colorado
Springs. At Roswell City is situated the Rock Island's round house and shops.
Roswell is a suburban residence site.
The city is an addition to Colorado Springs and is a prohibition railroad town, and although but little more than a year old
now boasts handsome residences, stores and a hotel. Roswell was named after
Honorable Roswell P. Flower of New York. |
