Roswell & Roswell City

Roswell and Roswell City sprang up in a day, born in 1889 of the junction of the Rock Island and Rio Grande Railroads, on the Monument Creek two and a half miles north of Colorado Springs. At Roswell City is situated the Rock Island's round house and shops. Roswell is a suburban residence site.

The city is an addition to Colorado Springs and is a prohibition railroad town, and although but little more than a year old now boasts handsome residences, stores and a hotel. Roswell was named after Honorable Roswell P. Flower of New York.
