| RAYMOND, JOHNNIE | December 15, 1894 Died - At St. Luke's Hospital, Denver, Colo., Monday, 3 o'clock P.M. Dec. 3 of inflamation of the bowels, Johnnie Raymond, son of James and Jennie Peilbin, aged 5 years, 3 months and 3 days. He was taken sick on the day previous to Thanksgiving, at the home of his parents at Sedalia, Colo., and was removed to Denver to undergo an operation. All that the most skillful physicians could do was done to save Johnnie's life but all to no avail. God has called him and he must go. He was an exceptionally bright boy for his age and dearly beloved by all who knew him. The remains were taken by the sorrowing father to St. Mary's, Kans., and interred in the family burying ground Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 7, beside his little sister. The sorrowing family have the heartfelt sympathy of surrounding friends. The world fades under the afflictions of life, but in Christ Heaven grows brighter. |

| RHUDY, C. JOHN | Douglas Co. News Press April 16, 1997 John C. Rhudy, funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Thursday at Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home in Castle Rock for John C. Rhudy, 85, a native of Elbert, who died Monday at Columbia Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. Interment is set for 11 am Friday, at Rosebud Cemetery, in Glenwood Springs, Co. Born Oct. 14, 1911, in Elbert County, Mr. Rhudy was the son of Carl Mann, and Jessie Lavinia Evans Rhudy. He graduated from Colorado Teachers College in Greeley and did postgraduate work at Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Co. Mr. Rhudy taught at Carbondale High School as a mathematics and science teacher for 34 years. He married Anna Marie Hansen, who preceded him in death. He then married Edna Lucille Mason in Castle Rock. She also died. He was an active member of the Elbert Senior Center, had served on the Carbondale City Council, and was active in the Republican Party. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. A sister Viva Whitely also preceded him in death. Surviving are his children Robt. Rhudy and his wife Ellen, Marriottsville, Md., Stan Rhudy and his wife Norine of Littleton and Shirley Ann Rhudy of Tucson, Ariz., and four grandchildren Robyn, Roger, Troy and Justin Rhudy. Funeral services were held Mar. 20, 1997, and Rev. Wm. Weir officiated. Interment was held Mar. 21, 1997, at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Spgs., Co. A memorial service was held at the Victorian House in Parker where he was a resident for three years. He graduated in 1946 from CSU. He was very active in athletics and was a member of Sigma Nu. Born Jan. 9, 1914, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth(Martin)Schwachtje. She and Michael William Pinnell were married July 2, 1938 in Chicago. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Pinnell was a dress designer for several old time movie stars and Marshall Field's Dept. Stores. She enjoyed dancing. She moved to Parker four years ago. She is survived by son Robert W. Pinnell and his wife, Joan; grandchildren Michelle, Michael and Kathy; and great-granddaughter Kassandra. Visitation and rosary was Thurs. with Rev. Herb. Hayek at Olinger Andrews Gibson funeral Home. Interment was at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Lolita Louise Langley was born April 3, 1945 in Basile, La., the daughter of Hillery and Eva(Young). On Dec. 6, 1965 Lolita married James Douglas Seger in Lake Charles, La. Lolita retired from the Douglas County School District as a secretary. She was a member of St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church and the Martha Chapter of the Or of the Eastern Star. She and her husband came to Colorado in 1989. Mrs. Seger is survived by her husband Doug of Larkspur and three children, Jim Seger and his wife of Larkspur, Scott Seger of Castle Rock, and Jeff Seger and his wife Bobbi of Longmont. She is also survived by her brothers Burkman Langley and his wife Judy of Spiro, Okla. Hillery Langl and his wife Susie of Westlake, La., and Willie Langley and his wife Debbie of Westlake, La., her sister Maebelle Jenkins, and her husband J.C. Deceased had been unwell for some time, but her sickness was not considered dangerous, and her death was a surprise to the many friends of the family at this place. | SINCLAIRE, MARY CATHERINE | Castle Rock Daily Star, Oct. 3, 2003 Mary Catherine Sinclaire, 98, died peacefully at her home in West Plum Creek Valley, Sedalia, on ?. Catie was born July 26, 1905 in Elmira, N.Y. to Judge Chas. B. Swartwood, and Mary Carroll Swartwood. She graduated from Abbott Academy in Andover, Mass., and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Elmira College in NY. She married Wm. Walker Sinclaire on June 18, 1927. They lived in New York and mkoved to Douglas in 1965. The couple had three children, Wm., Mary Carroll and Helen. Catie is remembered for forming the Nurses Aid During WWII, the Corning Chapter of Planned Parenthood, her activism in the Christ Episcopal Church and St. Phillip in the Field Episcopal Church, and countless contributions to the community. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wm., and her sister Trinja Rollinson, and her grandson Alex Blythe. She is survived by her son, Wm.; daughters Mary Carroll Morris and Helen Blythe, brother Charles Swartwood, Jr.; seven grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. A memorial service was Tues.at the St. Phillip of the Field in Sedalia, Co. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Phillip of the Field, 397 S. Sullivan was born July 5, 1911, in Yuma to Timothy John and Nellie(Reiley)Sullivan, one of seven children. He was a former member of the St. Francis Catholic Church. He married Betty Ann Riley in Aug. 1938, in Holyoke, Co. Mrs. Sullivan died in 1988. Tim was a farmer, rancher, and worked for the Denver Water Bd. from 1962-1976, when he retired. He is survived by five children, Timothy and his wife Ellen Sullivan of Rochester, Minn., John Paul and his wife Frances of Huston, Texas, B.J. and his wife Doris Sullivan of Denver, Christine Sullivan and her husband John Hughes of Tucson, Ariz. and Ann and her husband James Lynch of Aurora; one Jeanne Burk of Phoenix , Arizona; and nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
