DAHLBERG, LOIS HANSEN	Douglas County News-Press November 11, 2001 Lois Dahlberg Lois Dahlberg, 75, of Cherry Valley died Sunday at her home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Thursday, at the Killin Memorial Chapel at Spring Valley Cemetery, Spring Valley. The Rev. Tim Buchanan will officiate. Interment will be at Spring Valley Cemetery. Born Feb. 14, 1926, in Louivers, she was the daughter of Harvey and Grace (Waldron) Hansen. She married Russell Lawrence Dahlberg May 23, 1948, in Colorado Springs. She graduated from Douglas County High School and attended the University of Denver. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in journalism. A school teacher and homemaker, she was a member of the Mountain View Homemakers Club and Douglas County Historical Society. She enjoyed reading, gardening and was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan. She also enjoyed and was talented in arts and crafts. Mrs. Dahlberg is survived by her husband; daughter Kathy Stone and her husband, Dennis, of Pumkin Center, son Jerry Dahlberg of Cherry Valley, brother Don Hansen of Delta; sister-in-law Lenita Dida and her husband, Chuck, of Palmer, Alaska; brother-in-law Raymond Dahlberg of Cherry Valley; and grandchildren Dulcie Stone and Adam Stone. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Odyssey Hospice, 3720 Sinton Road, Suite 105, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. Arrangements were made by the Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home of Castle Rock.
DALRYMPLE, GRACE "BETTY" E.	Rocky Mtn. News Betty Dalrymple, 61, passed away at home Nov. 21, 1002 in Parker, CO. A memorial service will be held Dec. 3, 2002 at 6 pm. At the Parker United Methodist Church, 11805 S. Pine Dr., Parker, CO. 80134. Interment will be at Arlington Natl. Cem. She is survived by her husband, Robt. Of Parker; her sons Scott, Fairfax, VA, Neal; Wichita, KS, and Bruce, Centreville, VA; and six grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Parker United Methodist Church, or the Rocky Mtn. DAVIS-EDGINS, MARTHA REYNOLDS	Rocky Mtn. News Martha of Highlands Ranch, CO. was born Nov. 18, 1944 in Kosciusko, MS and died on Sept. 1, 2003 due to lung cancer. Her husband, James E. Edgins, her son Frederick M. Cook III, and her two sisters, Francis H. Davis and Patsy Davis Poole survive her. Her body was donated to scientific research and no service is planned. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Metro Denver.

DIETRICH, ODESSA E.	No Paper Given No Date Given SS Index indicates she died 10-17-2001 Odessa E. Dietrich Mail carrier, 80 Odessa E. Dietrich, 80, of Denver, a mail carrier, died Wednesday in Denver. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Berkeley Park Chapel, 46th and Tennyson. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Cemetery. She was born May 15, 1921, in Kiowa. In 1951, she married E. Lloyd Dietrich. He preceded her in death. Before becoming a mail carrier, she worked as a teacher and an operator. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Her interests included embroidery and her dog, Toby. She is survived by a daughter, Kay Camp, Denver, a son, Daren Wedemeyer, Richmond, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
DRAKE, MRS. CATHERINE	September 26, 1894 Died - In Denver, Sunday, September 16th, after a long illness, Mrs. Catherine Drake. The remains were consigned to their last resting Wednesday, September 19th. Deceased was the mother of Mrs. J. S. Wilson at Fonder.
DUKE, DAUGHTER	October 17, 1894 Drowned - The two year old child of Mr. and Mrs. Duke, at Senator Wolcott's ranch, while playing near the city ditch last week fell in and was drowned before the accident was discovered.

ELLIS, M.W.	November 2, 1881 DIED - On the morning of Oct. 28th M. W. Ellis, aged 39 years. Mr. Ellis was born in Buread county, Illinois, where he resided all his life until 19 months ago. For the last nine years had been a constant sufferer from asthma. In March 1880, he came to Colorado. At that time he was barely able to walk. After coming here his health was very much improved for a time. But for several months past he had been growing worse and a few weeks ago, feeling that the end was near, requested that he might be buried here. He rested well all through the night and in the early morning passed away so quietly that none suspected the change was so near until he was gone.
EMILE, JOHANN	August 1, 1894 Killed - A stranger was killed near Larkspur Sunday night. It appears that he was riding on a freight train. The train broke apart soon after leaving Larkspur station. After the two parts had separated the engineer stopped the front part of the train and the hind part smashed into it, throwing this man entirely off and breaking his neck, killing him instantly. He was brought to Castle Rock and placed in charge of the coroner. The man's name was found by papers on his person to be Johann Emile and his age 25 years. He was on his way from Colorado Springs to Denver. He had some money with him but was evidently smuggling a ride to save his money for future emergencies.

FIZELLE, HENRY	A son of Samuel Fizelle aged 14 yrs., died Thurs., Mar. 24, 1891, and was buried at the Franktown Cemetery Sat. the 26.
FRY, MRS.	May 2, 1894 Died - Mrs. Fry, mother of Mrs. Geo. S. McCracken died at the residence of her daughter near Golddale, Saturday April 28th. Funeral services were conducted at Franktown Sunday afternoon by W. I. Whittier and the remains laid to rest in the cemetery at that place. (NO MARKER IN FRANKTOWN CEMETERY)
