Catahrina Matilda Duggan was born 31 Oct 1861, died 26 Jan 1936 in Denver, buried Riverside Cemetery, Commerce City. She married three times, 1st Joseph Thayer; 2nd John Lipkaman (also buried Riverside Cemetery), and 3rd William Nichols.

Ethel Lipkamin, daughter of John and Catherine (Duggan) (Thayer) Lipkaman. In January 1913 Ethel entered classes at Children's Hospital of Denver, and in February 1916 she passed her state exam with one of the highest grades in the State. She began her career caring for children but, during World War I, went to Ft. Douglas, Utah as an army nurse. In Chicago she did post graduate training and returned to Denver to work at the Children's Hospital.
