An important incorporated town fifteen miles south of Alamosa on the D & R G Railroad.
It has two banks, two newspapers, two drug stores, creamery, flour mill, three general
stores, two furniture stores, hardware stores, besides other business establishments.
It has good farming country on all sides, and next to Alamosa the best town in the County.
