like to hear from any Rutherfords who live or have lived in Baca
Co. Colorado, especially from Springfield. I am particularly
interested in Rutherford, George M. 23 Nov 1896-8 Jun 1968. He
was my dad's twin.
20 Jan 2003 Pam Maltsberger Harden Looking for family of Alfred Maltsberger. Appeared on 1930 US Census in Springfield, Baca Co., CO as 55 yr old grain farmer. Wife, Eva 43; Dave, son, 21; James, son, 19; Evalee, daughter, 15; Uranda, daughter, 12; Iva, daughter, 10; Ruth, daughter, 4; Ruby, daughter, 4; Jean, daughter, 2. Miller Gruenewald: Am trying to get
in touch with anyone knowing of the Gruenewalds when they homesteaded in
this area. Would either be Baca county, couthern Prowers or the county directly
west of Baca. This would grandparents and I do know they homesteaded
in tne "Cedars" in the "teens" of the 1900s. Would particularly like to
get in touch with a Mr. Freed. My grandparents are buried at Lamar, Colo.
and I met him one time at the cemetery and he knew my grandparents
and mentioned them homesteading in the "Cedars." I believe Mr. Freed's name
was Bill and he would be quite elderly.
