February 1905 "Goodland, Kansas, Feb. 20th. (Special) So qulck and complete was the cure of N. E. Albertson, a local blacksmith, that it almost seems like a miracle. He had Rheumatism so bad he feared he would have to give up his shop. One box of Dodd's Kidney Pills drove away all the pains and they have never returned. Speaking of his cure, Mr. Albertson says:
"I had Rheumatism in my shoulders and arms for years. Part of the time it was so bad I could not sleep at night. My arm hurt so that it seemed I would have to give up my blacksmith shop. I went to the drug store and bought one box of Dodd's Kidney Pills and took them. I have not had the Rheumatism since."

December 1907

Boulder, Colorado, November 1914 " Nathan Albertson and wife came from Kansas to partake of the Thanksgiving cheer at the home of his brother William Albertson and family, 953 Regent street. Miss Emma Albertson, who teaches at Colorado City, is home for a few days."

July 6, 1917 Goodland "The funeral of N. E. Albertson was held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the M. E. church. Rev. Billings conducted the services, assisted by Rev. O. B. Allen, pastor of the M. E. church, at Goodland. A large crowd was in attendance,"
Another Sherman county pioneer passed away at his home, two and one-half miles west of Edson at Saturday afternoon, June 30, 1917, aged sixty-six years, four months and twenty-five days.
Nathan E. Albertson was born February 1849, at Westfield, Hancock county, Indiana. He moved from Indiana to .... Mary M. Hockett, October 10, 1870. He departed this life at the same home July 10. 1901. To this union were born five Children, four sons and one daughter, who are all living; Ernest and Calvin, both in Sherman County, Arthur and Oran, in Oregon, the daughter, Mrs. Lena Slaight, in Canada. He moved from Iowa to eastern Kansas, then to Sherman County in 1887, where he has since lived.
January 26, 1902, he was married to Mary V. Morey, who departed to the better world, April 15, 1916. He united with the Friends church when a boy, and has since lived a devoted Christian life, and was prepared to meet his Savior in the Better World.
He leaves to mourn his departure five Children and Step Children, several grandchildren and hosts of relatives and friends. He was loved and trusted by all who knew him, and will be sadly missed by all.

Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Plummer, of Monument, Kansas, arrived Monday. They are cousins of Mr. Albertson, and came to attend the funeral.
J. R. Shipman and Ralph Smalley motored to Hermes, Colorado. D. L. Smalley, wife and son, Kenneth, returned with them to be present at the funeral of N. E. Albertson.
C. L. Pettibone and family, of Kanorado, at dinner Tuesday at the L. F. Smalley home. They had motored to attend the funeral of Mr. Albertson."

In 1900 Sherman County, Calvin Abertson is farming, 27, Lula Abertson 23 Wife, Harold Abertson 3 Son, and Florence Abertson 1 Daughter.

Calvin B. Albertson claimed a quarter in section 12, 7S 41W, Sherman County, Kansas, in 1905. This was the township adjoining Colorado.

Lulu's grancmother died in May 1898 in Warrensburg, Missouri
" The friends of Mrs. S. J. Hamrick were pained to learn of her sadden death, which occurred last Monday morning at tha home of her son, Mr. J. A. Hamrick of this city. Her death was unexpected, although she had passed the time allotted to man of three score years and ten. On Sunday she visited her son Chas. Hamrick, who resides in the Fourth ward, and returned home seeming unusually bright and well. She awoke early Monday morning and told her husband she waa ill, and although medical aid waa immediately summoned, she expired in a abort time. The physician ascribed the cause of her death to blood poison, superinduced by kidney trouble.
Deceased wae born in Pennsylvania Oct. 16, 1823. Her parents removed to Ohio when ahe waa a small child. She was married to Hamrick in Ohio in 1840. In 1854 they removed to Illinois, where they resided until their removal to Warrensburg three years ago, when they came to spend their declining years with their son, J. A. Hamrick.
Mrs. Hamrick was one of those dear old ladies whom it does one good to meet and whose life, heart and hands have been filled with kind acta and good deeds for all those with whom she came in contact. She was a member of ths Lutheran church. Her husband and four children survive her, who are: J. A. and Charles of this city, Porter, of Wisconsin and Mrs. Lizzie Cochran, of Kansas.
The funeral services was held from tha residence of J. A. Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Finis King officiating.

" Last Friday morning Mrs. Albertson passed at the home after a short illness. It was not thought that she was dangerously sick, but she had come to town on Tuesdav, and was stopping at the home of her father, in order to be close to the Dr. She had teen suffering for the past year or more with Bright's disease. Her youngest child was just four weeks old. On Thursday night her husband gave her medicine at midnight, and as she appeared to be resting easily, went to the adjoining room and gave her father his medicine. At midnight, she passed into a sleep from which she never awakened, or when her husband went to her bedside at 3 a m, he found that her spirit hid fled. She had, apparently, been dead a few minutes, as her body was warm.
The funeral services were held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in the Methodist church, Rev. Miller having been called home from his vacation to conduct the services. In a few short and appropriate remarks, be spoke words of consolation to the bereaved husband and children, and brother relatives. Interment was made in the Goodland cemetery, and it was a long procession that followed to the last resting place all that was mortal of one who, until so lately, was among us, but on whom the Reaper, whose name is death, hath ustd his sickle.
Obituary:
Lula Cochran, daughter of Winfield S. and Elizabeth Cochran, was born April 25, 1876, in Fayette county, I11., and died April 17, 1914, aged 37 yeaas, 11 mos and 24 days.
In the autumn of 1884, with her parents she moved to Cloud county, Kansas, and in the Spring of 1887, she came with her parents to Sherman county, and has since made her home here. January 19 1896, she was united in marriage to Calvin Albertson. To this union seven children were born, six of whom are living.
In 1885 she was converted and united with the Methodist church. We are all living in hopes of a happy reunion with her and loved ones on the other shore.
Those who came from a distance to attend the funeral were Isaiah Cochran, wife and son of Cloud county, Mrs Spaun of Dresden. They remained here until Sunday evening, when they left for their home, Cochran accompanying his nephew, and will visit for several months."

Smith on April 15, 1903, to this union two daughters and two sons were born. Albert passed away May 19, 1911. She married Calvin B. Albertson Januuary 1, 1916 and to this union three sons and one daughter were born."

Mr. Albertson returned from Meeker, where he has been all winter, arriving yesterday."

May 1922 " Mrs. Walter Harris of 1914 South Broadway gave a very elaborate dinner Saturday evening complimentary to Miss Crete Childers, who is to he one of Boulder’s June brides. The table was beautiful in its decorations. Pink and white was the color tone, carnations the flowers. The name cards were hand-painted May baskets, the work of Mrs. Emma Albertson Sholz of Deer Trail, formerly of Boulder."
