November 10, 1910 "Dr. J. L. Pennington M. D. wishes to announce that he will, in the future
devote more of his time to Osteopathy. The Doctor is a graduate of the school of Osteopathy at
Kirksville, Missouri, and has taken work in Chiropractic and Muropractic under Dr. Hillendorfer,
of Fountain, Colorado.
This kind of treatment cures diseases by spinal adjustment, and the Doctor, will be pleased
to explain his treatment, either by mail or in person. He has a number of patients in this vicinity
who will take pleasure in recommending this work.
Dr. Pennington has made arrangements for room and board for out-of-town patients who desire
to take treatment.
Office hours from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m.. Correspondence invited and cheerfully answered."

Dr. Pennington, son of Robert and Martica Pennington) was born Mar. 28, 1875 in Stuartsville, Mo., and died Jan. 6, 1960 at the age of 84 yrs., 9 months, and 6 days in the Broken Bow, Nebr. Community Hosp.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, four brothers and five sisters.
Dr. Pennington graduated from the Emsworth medical college in St. Joseph, Mo., Mar. 16, 1902. Mar. 19, 1902 he was united in marriage to Julia E. Egbert of Boliver, Mo. They immediately left for Nebraska locating in Anselmo. In 1907, they moved to Broken Bow where the doctor was in active practice until the time of his death. "
