Information gathered by Edwin Thompson

Ruby Thomas owned and operated the Thomas Maternity home in Rifle for many years. About 1950, while living in south Rifle, she divorced Everett Thomas. Then in 1952 at age 50 she married.Roscoe Beldon of Rifle. I knew Ruby and Roscoe from visiting them when I was a child, he was our only local relative. We visited many times to the house in the picture, I believe she had retired and closed the business there. Roscoe too was divorced, had been the husband of my 2nd great aunt. That is, was married to the sister of my great grandfather Benjamin Thompson. We moved to Rifle from Grand Junction in 1950 when I was one year old. Interesting to discover a tie to Ruby, thanks to Alethea Stephens.
