Anyone having information on RAY and ELVA J. TWENTIER who homesteaded NW
of Two Buttes in Baca County in 1912 and lived there until 1936. I was
born there and would like to correspond with anyone that lived there.

I am looking for records in Baca County, Colorado. I believe that my
parents were married in Lamar. Howard Edsal Holt and Dorothy Pauline
Shafer. Dorothy, as I understand, was raised in this area by her
grandmother Mrs. R.E. Alfrey. I have an old journal for Mrs. Alfrey, a
midwife. This contains birth records for several people in Baca County
around the turn of the century. I am also looking for a death certificate
and records about Elijah Barton Holt at Lamar, Baca County, Colorado.

Would like to share information about "Life In Two Buttes" from
homestead days ca 1912, through the "dirty thirties" and to the
present. I was born there and one of those delivered by Dr. W. P. Verity.
My father was a rural mail carrier in Baca County for 16 years or more.
Some of the surnames I am acquainted with are: LENT, BACKUS, JONES,
LUCAS, SERFOSS, NUTT, HALL, CAMPBELL, KITZMILLER, EWING, DOWNING, BEST,
AND MANY OTHERS.
